Communication with USB port in TurboN4040



1. Download FTDI's Virtual COM Port ( VCP ) Driver

2. Unzip the file to blank floppy disk or folder on your PC.

3. If after installation TurboN4040 software the instrument has been connected via COM port then

3.1.  In Notepad open file prot.ini in TurboN4040 working directory.

3.2. Delete string “SerialPort=COMx”

3.3. Save the file

4. Connect PC and TurboN4040 with USB cable

5. Switch the TurboN4040 ON

6. PC must find new hardware

7. Intall the new hardware driver (FTDI's Virtual COM Port ( VCP )

8. Run the TurboN4040 software

9. If the program needs communication port number then select USB
